Sadio Mane injury: Liverpool star subbed off vs Wolves as Takumi Minamino makes Premier League debut

Liverpool were handed a major injury concern as Sadio Mane limped out of Thursday's clash with Wolves.

The Senegalese forward pulled up while chasing a loose ball with Jurgen Klopp's side leading 1-0 in the Premier League contest at Molineux, before immediately signalling to the Reds bench that he could not continue.

Mane has started all but two of Liverpool's top-flight matches so far this term, scoring 13 goals - a tally bettered only by fellow front-three member Mohamed Salah.

His absence would be a sizeable blow as Klopp's men battle on three fronts, with Liverpool still competing in the FA Cup and Champions League as they also march towards a first domestic title for 30 years.

Mane's 33rd-minute withdrawal led to a Premier League debut for Takumi Minamino.

The Japanese international arrived on Merseyside from Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg for a £7.25million fee at the beginning of the January transfer window and started the FA Cup third-round victory over Everton at Anfield.
