Liverpool’s Sadio Mane gave Naby Keita a fright on a pedalo during their pre-season trip to Austria.
In a hilarious video clip posted to the Reds’ forward’s Instagram page (which you can view at the top of the page), Jurgen Klopp, Mane and Joel Matip enjoyed the summer sunshine on the water this week.
However, the trio teamed up to test Keita’s resolve by rocking the pedalo they were travelling on more and more.
Clearly worried about falling in, Keita visibly edges into the middle of the watercraft to avoid toppling over the edge and into the sea as his team-mates tease him and fall about in fits of laughter.
Mane joked about the amusing incident and told Liverpool’s official website, “Sometimes we go out, like yesterday [Wednesday] you could see some people struggling to swim in the water.
“I tried to pull Naby in the water - he didn’t want to!”
The Senegal international believes the Reds have a great bond off the pitch and enjoy sharing a laugh, adding, “I think all these kind of things are important and you can see how the team are happy and have joy and happiness together.
“This is really important. We built something special, and you can see LFC is like a family.”
After drawing 1-1 in each of Tuesday’s friendlies against Wacker Innsbruck and Stuttgart, Liverpool continue their pre-season preparations by taking on Klopp’s former club Mainz on Friday at 5.15pm.
