Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino give Liverpool huge boost ahead of Premier League clash with Tottenham

On Tuesday night Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino produced moments of sheer quality as they led their respective national teams to comeback victories.

This will be a huge boost to Liverpool fans as the talismanic pair prove they are in fine goalscoring form ahead of Sunday's crucial encounter with Tottenham.

The duo - along with Mohamed Salah - have scored the bulk of the Reds' Premier League goals this season. Out of 70 goals in total, the attacking trio have added 45 which has helped lead Jurgen Klopp's side to English football's summit with seven games to go.

Mane didn't start for Senegal in their friendly game with Mali but was called upon 15 minutes from time as his national side were on the cusp of a 1-0 loss.

The Liverpool forward, who has scored 11 goals in his last 11 appearances, proved he is still in sensational form as he rescued his national team from the jaws of defeat.

The Liverpool performances that bode well for Jurgen Klopp after the international break

The No.10 breathed life into Senegal with a magnificent solo goal after a great run through the defence, and also provided the assist for Moussa Konate's stoppage time winner.

While strike partner Firmino was in a similar mood to that of his team-mate as he led Brazil's second-half comeback over Czech Republic in Prague.

The No.9 scored a Luis Suarez style goal as he pressurised the defender and after a mix up Firmino's hunting was rewarded as he nicked the equaliser.

The Reds goalkeeper Alisson Becker also pulled off a marvellous double save for the Selecao as Manchester City starlet Gabriel Jesus scored a late double to secure a 3-1 win.

Liverpool supporters will be hoping this fine international form is a good omen heading into the weekend with Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs travelling to Anfield.
