'Sad to admit' - Chelsea fans react as Tammy Abraham scores once again for AS Roma

Chelsea fans have been left thrilled after seeing former striker Tammy Abraham continue his excellent start to life with AS Roma.

The Cobham academy product left west London earlier this summer in a £34million deal to join the Italian giants, having fallen down the pecking order with the arrival of Romelu Lukaku.

The Blues are believed to retain a buyback clause in the deal with £68million but that is not expected to become active until the summer of 2023.

Considering his hot form however, it might well be a consideration for transfer chief Marina Granovskaia.

The English forward netted just nine minutes after being introduced from the bench in a 5-1 win against CSKA Sofia in Europa Conference League action.

He latched onto a ball from Eldor Shomurodov before lifting the ball over the advancing goalkeeper.

The goal now makes it two strikes and two assists apiece in just five appearances since Abraham's move to Italy was confirmed, with his first goal coming in a 4-0 Serie A win against Salernitana last month.

Chelsea supporters have been left delighted with Abraham having already displayed his ability in the Italian capital.

Here are the best responses from social media.

Abraham will certainly hope to continue his hot form for the Giallorossi as they take on Verona away from home this Sunday.

In all, the 23-year-old made 89 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea before joining Roma, scoring 26 goals in the process.

Whilst he has made a positive start to life in Rome, Chelsea’s own summer acquisition in attack Romelu Lukaku has also had an even bigger impact with four goals in as many games.
