CHANDIGARH: Condemning the lathicharge on farmers in Haryana and Punjab, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) on Friday announced to stage protests outside the residences of both Punjab and Haryana chief ministers.
Party president and Rajya Sabha MP Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said the BJP and Congress are trying to suppress the voices of farmers through their repressive policies. He said while raising the voice against the dictatorial governments, which are inflicting atrocities on farmers, their party would hold a protest outside the residences of Capt Amarinder Singh and Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday under the leadership of MLA Parminder Singh Dhindsa.
Condemning the lathicharge on farmers in Moga, Dhindsa lashed out at the Congress government in Punjab for taking such measure and registering cases against innocent farmers.
