CHANDIGARH: If BJP, Punjab Lok Congress (PLC) and Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) alliance came to power, ensuring justice to the Sikh community in sacrilege cases would be the priority of their government, SAD (Sanyukt) president Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa pledged on Friday.
“There is strong resentment in the Sikh community over the issue of delaying justice in the recent incidents of disrespect to Guru Granth Sahib in the state,” said Rajya Sabha member Dhindsa. As a panthic party, it was the pivotal duty of the SAD (Sanyukt) to protect its interests and to bring justice to the Sikh community in the most sensitive cases, like the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and to severely punish perpetrators of these incidents, he added.
