Sad news for Dublin foodies as hugely popular restaurant Twenty2 closes for good

Dubliners have been rocked following the sad news that another hugely popular restaurant has had to close for its door for good.

Twenty2 on the Sion Road in Drumcondra announced the news that they had closed with immediate effect, due to an ongoing dispute with a landlord about a tenancy agreement.

A notice on their website reads: "Dear Customers, due to an ongoing dispute with our landlords about our tenancy agreement it is with deep regret that we announce we are closed for good from Monday 14th October 2019.

"We have loved being part of this incredible community. We would like to thank all our customers, staff and suppliers for their support over the last 4 years and 10 months in business.

"Any queries please email Lynn@twenty2.ie."

The restaurant was known for it's delicious brunch, and was a popular spot for a few evening drinks with a large wine menu.

Shocked users took to social media to express their sadness at the news.

One commented: "So sad. So sorry to hear this. Such a lovely place and lovely attentive staff."

Another added: "Hopefully they can move somewhere else, not too far. Great local restaurant... such a shame."
