Sad death of young Drimnagh man to be marked by Dublin GAA funeral tribute as dad looks for jersey

The sad death of a young Dublin man is to be marked with a heartbreaking GAA tribute.

Crumlin GAA shared the upsetting news on their Facebook page asking followers and club members to help out the youngster's dad who was in search of a Dublin GAA jersey.

The family of the deceased in Drimnagh are waking him at their house in Dublin colours and also reached out to the club to see if they could borrow a few children's jerseys also to which there was a huge response by throngs of followers.

Crumlin GAA said: "A young man in Driminagh passed away and the family are waking him at their home house in Dublin colours.

"The father of the deceased is looking for a lend of a triple XL Dublin jersey to wear for the wake. Would any of our members be able to help out?

"We are also looking for two kids jerseys age 6-7 and 9-10 or any size in between if any of our members can help out. Thank you."

The family received offers from all around Dublin with people from Coolock to Ringsend looking to help out in their time in need.

All jersey requests were fulfilled shortly after the post going up with Crumlin GAA applauding everyone who offered to help.

They said: "Thank you so much to everyone for your very kind offers. I'm delighted to say we got sorted with the jerseys for the family.
