Tributes have been flowing in for a popular Dublin club member who sadly died over the weekend after battling a short illness.
Family and friends remembered the "lovely" mum-of-one Pauline Walsh who recently passed away peacefully at her Howth home.
Pauline was a "valued and popular member of Greenfield Bridge Club in Sutton".
The Grandmother-of-two was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her death and is missed dearly by her husband Jim and daughter Michelle.
One friend thanked Pauline for inspiring her to pursue her dream subject during exam time many years ago.
She said: "I have great memories of working for Pauline in the Tramway Baking Cakes. Thanks to Pauline I did art for leaving cert outside of school.
Another added: All of us at Greenfield Bridge Club in Sutton were very sad to learn of her death. May she rest in peace. Condolences to her family."
A third said: "Thoughts and prayers are with the Walsh family. RIP Pauline."
Her notice on RIP.ie reads: "Walsh (née Cashell), Pauline, Howth and late of the Nation Education Psychological Services, 10th April 2020.
"Peacefully, at home, after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Jim. Very sadly missed by her loving husband, adored daughter Michelle, much loved grandchildren Mark and Nicole, relatives and a very wide circle of friends and work colleagues."
A private funeral will take place for the immediate Walsh family due to Government advice and HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings.
The family intends to hold a memorial to celebrate Pauline's life at a later stage and are asking that donations, if desired, be donated to St. Francis Hospice.
