Sad day for Dublin as three men remembered by locals on streets around capital after recent tragic deaths

Three Dublin men have been remembered around the capital after they all tragically died in recent weeks.

John Walsh, DJ Matt Corrigan and Alan Hall's respective deaths sent shockwaves around the capital with two of them coming within 24 hours of each other on Monday.

The trio were remembered on the streets of Dublin by loved ones who lit up the skies and sang songs to celebrate their lives.

Tributes flooded in from heartbroken family and friends for missing man John Walsh whose body was discovered at the end of April.

The 42-year-old was last seen in the Strand Road area of Portmarnock on March 8, at around 10pm before his body was found on April 30 in the area.

One close relative said: "The family of John Walsh want to thank everyone from the police his neighbours, friends and everyone on Facebook who shared our statuses and tried to help find John.

"Unfortunately we got the sad news that John's body has been found.

"Not the outcome we expected but at least we can all have peace now thanks so much."

John's family took pictures beside a massive Liverpool flag and posted tributes online for the football-mad man who they have now lost forever, promising to hold a proper celebration when the lockdown is over.

Alan Hall was tragically found dead in a house in Dublin on Monday.

His family and friends lit up the skies last night for the "nicest and soundest" 44-year-old dad, who was originally from the Ferrycarrig area of Coolock.

Alan was tragically found in "unexplained and suspicious" circumstances on Bluebell Avenue on Monday morning with Gardai continuing to investigate all circumstances.

A candle light vigil was held by his friends In Coolock with lanterns filling the north Dublin sky for the gentle soul who was "loved by everyone".

And on the same day, the whole of Dublin's Inner City were left heartbroken and saddened after the sudden death of local celebrity DJ Matt Corrigan.

DJ Matt was a very popular figure around the area, spinning music for local residents at parties on the flats and beyond for over three decades.

Throngs of residents came together yesterday to blare out some of the club classics that the DJ dad was renowned for, describing them as his "favourite tracks" to get a party started.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all these family members and friends.
