'Sad and annoying' - Wilfried Zaha addresses Arsenal transfer links

Where will Wilfried Zaha be playing his football next season?

Unless Arsenal increase their original bid, it will be at Selhurst Park.

The Gunners are in the market for a winger this summer, despite the fact they have already signed Gabriel Martinelli from Brazilian side Ituano.

Unai Emery wants someone to come in and freshen up their forward line immediately, with Zaha now at the top of his wishlist, following previous links with the likes of Ryan Fraser from Bournemouth and Yannick Carrasco from Damlian Yifang.

Arsenal have reportedly seen an offer of £40million rejected out of hand, with Palace viewing that valuation as derisory.

Zaha scored ten goals and provided five assists for the Eagles last season, in what was an impressive personal campaign.

Palace have placed a price tag of £80million on the Ivory Coast star's head, trying to ward off interest from the Gunners.

Zaha is on international duty at the African Cup of Nations right now, and following the win over Namibia on Monday was asked about the transfer speculation with Arsenal.

He said then: "I don’t know we’ll see in the future. I have no comment on it the only thing that’s on my mind now is trying to win this cup.

"I’m fixated on is how far we go in the tournament."

Those comments have resurfaced in the last 24 hours, suggesting that Zaha has refused to rule out a move to the Emirates Stadium.

And Zaha has now taken to Twitter to address those headlines.

He said: "Whatever happened to speaking facts? Its sad and annoying how anyone will just open their mouth and speak on things or situations they know absolutely nothing about."
