With every Super Bowl celebration comes a bitter defeat, as the San Francisco 49ers had to walk away as this year’s silver medalists.
The confetti shower is always used to commemorate the victor in the annual Super Bowl, but sadly, confetti falls on the victors and losers alike.
CBS Sports showed a couple of incredibly sad 49ers players trying to process losing the big game as confetti gathered on them, and whew, this will make you feel awful for these guys after such a hard-fought Super Bowl.
This is the difficult trade-off of sports, and the 49ers just found themselves on the unforgiving side of the process.

It’s never easy to lose a game like this, as it looked like the 49ers were going to pull this one off more than once.
However, the Kansas City Chiefs are inevitable, and it had to be San Francisco to take this one on the chin.
