For two matches Craig Levein has had to endure the brutal chant. But on both occasions the Hearts manager has gone on to savour success.
Yes, it seems predictions of his demise have perhaps proved premature and that’s irrespective of his relationship with Ann Budge or his position on the board.
A win over Hibs? Check. Through to the Betfred Cup semi-finals after coming from behind to beat Aberdeen in a shootout. Check.
He is not done yet, though. Victory over St Mirren on Saturday could hoist Hearts into the top six which is hardly an achievement of epic proportions but there must always be context.
And that context is the position the capital club found themselves prior to kick-off on Sunday. Bottom of the table.
Levein was ridiculed by fans for his statement following the defeat to Motherwell little more than a week ago.
Then, as supporters staged a protest outside Tynecastle Park calling for his head, he uttered a sentence or two that further infuriated the fans.
"We are six points off fourth place," the 54-year-old said. "I don't consider that to be a huge problem for us."
And neither it was. Make no mistake, Levein hasn’t turned a corner but he has set out on his journey.
And his trip to safety can only be made more comfortable with the news several of his players are gingerly easing themselves off the treatment table.
Now here’s that word context again. Let’s see how other managers would fare with so many players out through injury. Steven Naismith , John Souttar, Peter Haring, Jamie Walker – the list is as long as it is luckless.
But they’ll be back soon and the Hearts team will be stronger.
The jury may still be out but it is only then Levein can truly be judged.
