"Look who we saw in the nets from our windows," Mumbai Indians wrote in their post on X.

Sri Lanka, Australia, England, South Africa and the West Indies are the other nations competing in this tournament.

Brian Lara will lead the West Indies, Kumar Sangakkara will captain Sri Lanka, Jacques Kallis will be at the helm for South Africa, while Eoin Morgan and Shane Watson will captain England and Australia respectively.

The tournament for veteran cricketers has appointed Indian batting icon Sunil Gavaskar as its commissioner.

Sachin Tendulkar retired from international cricket at the age of 39 in November 2013. He remains the only batter to have scored 100 international centuries.

His record of 49 centuries in ODIs was broken by Virat Kohli.
