Sacha Baron Cohen has taken away the job he "offered" Donald Trump in the wake of Borat 2.
The actor was one of many celebrities who reacted with happiness to the news that Joe Biden had beaten Trump at the US 2020 presidential election.
In his response, Baron Cohen addressed the comments he made in reply to Trump, who called him "unfunny" and "a creep" following the release Borat Subsequent Moviefilm last month.
“Donald – I appreciate the free publicity for Borat!” he wrote on 24 October. “I admit, I don’t find you funny either. But yet the whole world laughs at you. I’m always looking for people to play racist buffoons, and you’ll need a job after [Inauguration Day on] Jan 20. Let’s talk!”
However, as news broke that Trump had lost the election, Baron Cohen changed his mind.
“Donald, you’re out of work and I know I offered you a job, but your performance this past week was tragic and sad,” he wrote, adding: "Offer rescinded."
Baron Cohen was referencing the fact that Trump has repeatedly made unfounded claims that the election was rigged in Biden's favour.

Hours after news broke of Biden's victory alongside his vice president, Kamala Harris, Saturday Night Live was broadcast with Dave Chappelle as host.
Chappelle – who last presented the sketch show days after Trump became president in 2016 – delivered a searing speech that saw him call the Republican a "racist".
Meanwhile, Jim Carrey, who plays Biden on the show, momentarily resurrected his popular Ace Ventura character to deliver a brutal message to Trump.
