Sabri Lamouchi takes training for first time as Nottingham Forest work in Spanish sun

Sabri Lamouchi put his Nottingham Forest squad through their paces for the first time today, as the new head coach oversaw training in Spain.

The Reds flew out for their training camp, just outside Alicante, yesterday - and stepped up their preparations this morning.

Lamouchi, who had his appointment confirmed on Friday, following the departure of Martin O’Neill, will take charge of his first Forest game tomorrow, when they face Dundee at the Pinatar Arena.

The Reds also play Peterborough on Saturday, at the same venue, before returning briefly to the UK, ahead of another training camp in Athens.

Lamouchi was in the stands to see Forest secure a 2-1 win at Alfreton Town on Saturday, thanks to goals from Brennan Johnson and Karim Ansarifard - but was not in the dugout.

As he prepares to take charge of his first friendly tomorrow, against Scottish opposition, the former Rennes boss got involved with training as the Reds looked to work around the Spanish heat with a morning session today.
