Sabri Lamouchi sends message as Nottingham Forest ace makes glowing Rangers claim

Lamouchi sends message to Reds fans

Sabri Lamouchi has sent a message to Nottingham Forest fans.

The Reds posted a video message from the Frenchman on their official Twitter page on Friday.

Lamouchi encouraged supporters to "stay positive" during the coronavirus crisis that has led to English football being halted until at least April 30, with Forest currently sat in the play-offs places in the Championship.

"I hope you are all well and safe during this crazy time," said Lamouchi.

Joe Worrall makes Rangers claim

Forest defender Joe Worrall says his loan spell at Rangers was like nothing he has ever experienced before.

Worrall returned from Scotland in the summer after a season-long loan spell with Steven Gerrard's side, his second spell away from the club following a 14-appearance stint with Dagenham & Redbridge in 2016.

Despite having forced his way into Forest's starting XI, Worrall was sent north by Aitor Karanka with the Spaniard not fancying the 23-year-old.

However, he has returned with Karanka gone and Sabri Lamouchi now at the helm on Trentside.

West Brom fans warn Forest over Ideye

West Bromwich Albion fans have been reacting to reports that their former striker Brown Ideye is in the running for a move to Forest.

According to reports in Greece, where Ideye spent two weeks with Olympiacos, the 31-year-old is keen to return to English football after five years away.

Ideye arrived at Albion on a three-year deal in July 2014 for around £10 million but left after only one season with only four Premier League goals to his game.

The Nigerian international did hit a purple patch following the arrival of Tony Pulis in January 2015, netting four times and assisting once in three matches but only managed another League goal after February 11.

Championship club boss makes worrying claim

Barnsley manager Gerhard Struber says he thinks the Championship will be declared null and void.

The League has been suspended because of coronavirus with the pandemic causing all-but-one of Forest's matches to be postponed.

That decision has applied to the Premier League, EFL and Leagues One and Two with no football to be played until April 30 and even that date could be pushed back further.

Forest were due to play Barnsley in their penultimate match of the season, a match that is one of eight postponed.
