Sabri Lamouchi reveals his Nottingham Forest team to face Preston at the City Ground

Joao Carvalho must wait for his first Championship start of the season after Sabri Lamouchi named his Nottingham Forest team to face Preston.

The Reds boss almost fully reverted to the team that won at Fulham last time out in the league, with just one change from the 2-1 victory at Craven Cottage.

As expected, Brice Samba was retained in goal, with Alfa Semedo coming into the midfield and Samba Sow dropping to the bench.

Club record signing Carvalho had made his first appearance of the season, when he came off the bench to score the Reds' third goal in the 3-0 win against Derby on Tuesday night.

The Portuguese midfielder is on the bench, alongside Albert Adomah, who opened the scoring in the Carabao Cup win over Forest's arch rivals.

Defender Chema Rodriguez was named in a Championship matchday squad for the first time, as the Spaniard was also named in the bench.

There was no place in the squad for young midfielder Brennan Johnson, who impressed in his first senior start against the Rams.

Forest: Samba; Jenkinson, Dawson (c), Worrall, Robinson; Watson, Semedo; Lolley, Silva, Ameobi; Grabban; Subs: Muric, Carvalho, Cash, Mir, Sow, Chema, Adomah

Preston: Rudd, Pearson, Davies, Browne, Harrop, Johnson, Gallagher, Rafferty, Bauer, Bodin, Potts: Subs: Ripley, Storey, Ledson, Bayliss, Ginnelly, Green, Stockley
