Sabri Lamouchi reveals his Nottingham Forest team to face Barnsley

Sabri Lamouchi made two changes to his Nottingham Forest side for Saturday’s Championship clash with struggling Barnsley at the City Ground.

Looking to build on last weekend’s impressive victory at leaders Swansea, Lamouchi restored Joe Lolley and Tiago Silva to the starting XI that performed so well in Wales.

That meant a return to the side for talisman Lolley, who had to settle for a place on the bench last weekend, while Silva returned at the expense of Sammy Ameobi, with him and Albert Adomah dropping to the bench.

Joao Carvalho kept his place at the top end of the pitch behind Lewis Grabban and gets to play alongside compatriot Silva in the first team for the first time from the start.

On a day when the Reds will honour the 15th anniversary of the passing of their legendary former manager Brian Clough, the City Ground, bathed in sunshine, will host a first sell-out of the season to date.

Elsewhere, Brice Samba keeps his place in between the posts, and Matty Cash once again keeping his place on the right side of defence in the absence of Carl Jenkinson.

Forest's Joe Lolley (Dan Westwell)

Joe Worrall and Michael Dawson retain their places in the centre of defence, while Portuguese left-back Yuri Ribeiro keeps Jack Robinson out of the side, and the impressive Ben Watson maintains his spot in front of the back-four.

Despite his winning goal at the Liberty Stadium, there’s no return for Alfa Semedo with Samba Sow keeping his place in the middle of the park.

In a first for the Reds, they’ll have a Championship game officiated for the first time by an Australian. Jarred Gillett is taking charge of his first season in English football with this occasion being just his sixth outing of the campaign.

Forest: Samba, Cash, Dawson, Worrall, Ribeiro, Watson, Sow, Carvalho, Lolley, Silva, Grabban. Subs: Muric, Figueiredo, Bostock, Robinson, Semedo, Ameobi, Adomah.
