Sabri Lamouchi names his Nottingham Forest team to face Crystal Palace

Sabri Lamouchi named four of his new signings in his first Nottingham Forest team for Friday night’s friendly under the City Ground lights against Crystal Palace.

It’s the first chance for the Nottingham public to get a look at the Reds under the Frenchman, and he opted to start with Manchester City loanee Aro Muric in goal, Alfa Semedo in the middle of the park along with Tiago Silva with Albert Adomah wide on the right of a potent-looking front three.

Matty Cash was deployed at right-back as Lamouchi continued to experiment with him in defence, with Alexander Milosevic, Joe Worrall and Jack Robinson making up the back four in front of Muric, who made his debut out in Greece last week.

Ben Watson will be the deep lying midfielder, with Portuguese duo Semedo and Silva in front of him.

Forest’s front three carries a threat with Adomah getting his first taste of action on home turf, playing one side of Lewis Grabban and Joe Lolley on the other.

There was no Costel Pantilimon in the squad, but, despite being told he can leave the club, Luke Steele was named on the bench along with fellow goalkeeper Jordan Smith.

Yuri Ribeiro and fellow summer arrival Sammy Ameobi were named on the bench, along with Tendayi Darikwa, Michael Dawson, Tobias Figueiredo, Claudio Yacob, Brennan Johnson, Arvin Appiah and Tyler Walker - who is heavily linked with a loan move to join Coventry City

Despite continued interest from Sheffield United in Ben Osborn, the 24-year-old was named among the substitutes for the clash against Roy Hodgson’s Eagles.

Forest: Muric, Cash, Milosevic, Worrall, Robinson, Semedo, Watson, Adomah, Silva, Lolley, Grabban.

Subs: Steele, Smith, Darikwa, Dawson, Figueiredo, Osborn, Ribeiro, Yacob, Johnson, Appiah, Ameobi, Walker.
