Sabri Lamouchi makes surprising change to his Nottingham Forest team to face Wigan Athletic

Rafa Mir is handed his first Championship start for Nottingham Forest, as boss Sabri Lamouchi springs a surprise at Wigan Athletic.

As the Reds go in search of their first ever win at the DW Stadium, knowing victory would send them back into the top two, Lamouchi has made five changes from the team that won before the international break.

Mir has been drafted in to the starting line-up to lead the Forest attack, with leading marksman Lewis Grabban forced to settle for a place on the bench.

The Spaniard isn't the only one to be given a full league debut in front of the television cameras, with midfielder John Bostock replacing the injured Samba Sow, who picked up a problem in the win over Brentford prior to the break.

Tobias Figueiredo is another to be drafted into the starting XI, with the continued absence of Michael Dawson – he replaced Chema Rodriquez, while Jack Robinson and Sammy Ameobi are also handed starts - a 50th outing for Robinson.

On his return to the club he famously led to an FA Cup win in 2013, Ben Watson has been handed the captain’s armband, with Joe Lolley and Yuri Ribeiro keeping their places.
