Sabri Lamouchi makes major changes to his Nottingham Forest backroom staff

Sabri Lamouchi has shaken up his backroom staff at Nottingham Forest, following last season’s play-off aberration.

The Reds boss has brought in four new members of staff during the first week of pre-season training, while four existing coaches have departed.

Ahmed Kantari and Guilherme Ramos have joined the club as first team assistant coaches, while Olivier Pedemas joins as goalkeeping coach and Arnaldo Abrantes becomes Forest's head of performance.

Kantari is a former Moroccan international defender and moves to the City Ground after spending the 2019/20 campaign as assistant coach at French side Valenciennes.

"Ramos has worked at Portuguese side Estoril and in the Champions League with APOEL in Cyprus.

Pedemas links up with Sabri Lamouchi once again having worked together at El Jaish in Qatar and with the Ivory Coast national side, and the Frenchman boasts a playing career of more than 400 matches in France.

Abrantes has extensive experience in the performance and medical profession, both in and out of sport, with the Portuguese listing Estoril and the Portuguese Athletics Federation among his former employers.

Forest have also confirmed that assistant coaches David Barriac, Jean-Paul Ancian, Roberto Berghenti have left, while goalkeeping coach Ian Bennett has also moved on, with the ex-Birmingham City stopper expected to take up a similar role with Neil Warnock at Middlesbrough.
