Sabina Nessa murder: Police release CCTV video of man at centre of appeal

Detectives have released new footage of a man they want to speak to in the investigation into Sabina Nessa’s murder.

In the clip, the man could be seen looking over his shoulder and putting up his hood.

The CCTV revealed the mystery figure walking outside a block of flats in Pegler Square, in Kidbrooke, south-east London on the evening Ms Nessa was attacked.

Officers have urged anyone who can identify the man to get in touch.

Police were continuing to question a 38-year-old man arrested on Thursday and taken into custody on suspicion of Ms Nessa’s murder.

Ms Nessa’s killer struck her on the head with an unknown object moments after she left her flat, CCTV footage has reportedly revealed.

The attacker was seen putting the 28-year-old primary school teacher over his shoulder and carrying her towards Cator Park where her body was found nearly 24 hours later, the Telegraph reported citing a police source.

Her body was found close to the OneSpace community centre within the park at around 5.30pm the following day.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Monday, 20 September was inconclusive.
