Yousef Al-Benyan, Vice Chairman and CEO of SABIC and Chairman of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), said that this is a landmark in the global economy and urged firms to endorse a new methodology to achieve growth.
He noted that the chemical industry requires accelerating transformation and investment in the growth so that the industry continues to push the global economy and overcome challenges and continuous changes.
During his speech at the 13th Annual GPCA Forum in Dubai, he said: “We are trying to energize the industry to transform, and also benefit from the growth that the industry is going to experience in the coming years. We are very clear that the industry is going through rapid transformation.”
He also tackled in his speech the topic of the forum, which is “Exceeding Transformation & Investing in Growth”.
Benyan urged to increase cooperation in industry and partnerships, saying that the GCC countries and active parties in the chemical field took procedures to reach transformation. These procedures are not new and have been discussed for a long time.
