Sabarimala: 25,000 pilgrims to be allowed through virutal queue

KOTTAYAM: For the upcoming Sabarimala pilgrimage season, 25,000 pilgrims will be allowed to visit the hill shrine each day through the virtual queue system, said devaswom minister K Radhakrishnan.

He also said that if the situation improves, taking a dip in the Pamba River will be allowed.

The minister had convened a meeting to assess the arrangements ahead of the pilgrimage season at Pamba on Saturday. He also said that the threat of Covid-19 has come down compared to the previous two pilgrimage seasons. However, all safety measures will be continued, he said. He also added that a meeting of the devaswom ministers and chief secretaries of all south Indian states will be held soon.
