Saba To Go Rathmines named best takeaway at Just Eat national awards

Dublin takeaways were among the biggest winners at last night's Just Eat Takeaway Awards that took place in the capital.

And a Rathmines location was named the overall best takeaway in Ireland.

Saba To Go has been named the best takeaway in the country, following an intense round of voting ahead of the awards which were held at Twenty Two.

Amanda Roche-Kelly, Managing Director Just Eat Ireland said: “It’s a really exciting time to be in the food hospitality sector in Ireland. The combination of new trends and new cuisine types partnered with innovative technology means that the sector will continue to grow and evolve.

"I would like to congratulate all of tonight’s winners who have demonstrated true excellence within the industry in particular Saba To Go, Rathmines who have been awarded the ultimate prize of Best Takeaway Ireland as well as Camile Thai, Phibsboro, recognised by their customers for their ongoing efforts to be more sustainable."

  • Best Takeaway Middle Eastern:  Zaytoon, Camden St, Dublin 2
  • Best Takeaway Chipper:  Macari 101, Naas
  • Best Takeaway Pizza:  Base Wood Fired Pizza, Terenure
  • Best Takeaway Burger:  Friars Rest, Letterkenny
  • Best Takeaway Curry:  Shapla Indian, Carlow
  • Best Takeaway Spice Bag:  San Sab, Drumcondra
  • Best Takeaway Salad:  Chopped, Fairview
  • Best Takeaway Vegetarian:  Camile Thai, Limerick
