SA police seize $5.6 million of fantasy

Drugs with a street value of $5.6m have been seized, and a man arrested in Adelaide. (AAP)

Fantasy with a street value of $5.6 million has been seized and a man arrested in Adelaide after 800 litres of the drug was imported from China.

The drugs arrived in Sydney in large metal drums with the shipment destined for South Australia, police say.

It was seized along with $90,000 in cash and a number of weapons after raids on properties in Adelaide.

A 54-year-old Adelaide man has been charged with attempting to traffic in a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug.

Detective Chief Inspector Denise Gray said the fantasy was enough for 800,000 street doses and was the largest seizure of the drug in SA.

She said further arrests were expected with police suspecting a syndicate of people were involved.
