Dams, waterways searched for suspected murder victim Tanja Ebert

Police have searched dams and water storage areas at a remote sheep station in South Australia's north-east pastoral district as part of an ongoing investigation into the disappearance and suspected murder of Tanja Ebert.

The 23-year-old mother of two went missing in August and her husband Michael Burdon shot himself dead as police searched the couple's property during the investigation.

Police said Major Crime investigators and Water Operation Unit STAR Group officers returned to the property last week and searched 18 dams and water storage areas at the vast Manna Hill property over three days.

The last known confirmed sighting of Ms Ebert was at the Adelaide Central Market about 4:45pm on August 8.

In August, a wide-scale search, including significant excavation works, was conducted of the 410-square-kilometre property, and since that time police have returned with experts to conduct searches of mines and wells.

Police said they had not ruled out further searches and were urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
