SA Police arrest man wearing no pants over two break-ins at Kilburn

Police were called to a house on Kintore Avenue at Kilburn at 2:30am. (ABC News)

SA Police have caught a man with no pants or shoes following two alleged break-ins in Adelaide's inner-north overnight.

Patrols were called to a house on Kintore Avenue at Kilburn at 2:30am, after the occupant woke to find an intruder in the backyard.

Police said the occupant confronted the intruder, and during a tussle the man lost his pants and shoes before breaking free and jumping fences to escape.

After searching the area, police arrested a suspect matching the description on Galway Street.

They allegedly found stolen property on the man from the Kintore Avenue house and from a home on Galway Street.

The 46-year-old man from Northfield has been charged with two counts of serious criminal trespass and two counts of theft.

He has been refused bail and will face court later today.
