SA bushfire no threat to lives or property

An out-of-control bushfire in South Australia's southeast is not a threat to lives or property. (AAP)

A bushfire is burning out of control in South Australia's southeast but is not considered a threat to lives or property in the area.

The Country Fire Service says the Blackford fire near Kingston is burning in scrub after a burn-off by a farmer got out of control.

Landowners have established breaks around southern and eastern flanks while back-burning has begun to establish further containment lines.

CFS crews are being assisted by private farm fire-fighting units.
