S Club and Celebrity Big Brother's Jo O'Meara is unrecognisable from her pop star days

Former S Club 7 and Celebrity Big Brother star stunned viewers today when she appeared on This Morning - and was almost unrecognisable.

Promoting her first solo album in 16 years, With Love, Jo even had co-host Alison Hammond commenting on her appearance.

The 42-year-old has replaced her cropped hairdo with longer, blonde highlighted hair and was wearing minimal make up, a sleeveless white dress, belted at the waist and trendy white trainers.

She hit the headlines in 2007 when she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and was accused of racism against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, along with Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd and has kept out of the spotlight in recent years.

But now she's back and viewers were quick to praise her look too.

One on Twitter said: “@joomeara you look STUNNING on @thismorning today!” with a fire emoji.

Another said “Well done @joomeara you looked amazing, and the video looks fab” followed by two red love hearts.

Others are excited for the release of her album, which was announced as available to pre-order today and her latest single, On The Surface.

Comments included: “So lovely to see you on TV again!! I am so excited for your album!”

And: “@joomeara so lovely to watch you on This Morning today you’re looking amazingly well sending you lots of love”

Jo shot to fame in the late '90s as part of the chart-topping pop band S Club 7 which was behind hits like Reach and Don't Stop Movin'.

Jo's new album includes an acoustic version of Don’t Stop Movin'.
