Ryze Glasgow launches jumping sessions for people with additional needs

A Glasgow trampoline park has today announced the launch of monthly jumping sessions catered for those with additional needs.

Ryze, in Kinning Park, hopes to have everyone jumping for joy with the introduction of ASCEND, which stands for  A Session Catering Exclusively for Needs that Differ.

ASCEND will take place every first Thursday of the month, dedicated to guests with additional needs and their families or carers - allowing them to experience the thrill of Ryze in a safe and controlled environment.

The sessions will give everyone from the age of five to adult the opportunity to enjoy activities for those living with a number of conditions, in particular those on the autism spectrum.

Scott Fairgrieve, managing director for Ryze Glasgow, said: “We are excited to bring ASCEND to our aerial park here in Glasgow, and offer exclusive sessions to those who otherwise might not be able to take part in such an exhilarating activity.

“We have been planning the sessions for the past six months, including working closely with the National Autistic Society, creating an environment to protect those with autism through soothing music and calm lighting.

“Our experienced staff have also undergone further extensive training to work with those with additional needs to ensure that everyone who attends will not only have a great time, but can take part safely. The team are looking forward to the sessions beginning on Thursday and we can’t wait to introduce our aerial park to new customers.”

The first official ASCEND session will take place on Thursday, May 2 from 7pm to 9pm, then every first Thursday of the month thereafter. Sessions are from £11, with one parent or carer going free per paying jumper.
