When your mum has nearly died three times, spending a Mother’s Day apart can’t be easy.
But Rylan Clark-Neal knows it’s a price worth paying to keep his “dramatic girl” safe.
Linda has been battling with Crohn's disease, a long-term condition that causes inflammation of the lining of the digestive system.
She also contracted sepsis in 2018 - something that so nearly killed her. Now, like the rest of the world, they have another problem to overcome.
The presenter and former X Factor star jokes that his mum can be a ‘liability’ but he paid tribute to the 68-year-old during and vowed to stay away with the family self-isolating apart.
Uploading a picture of the pair of them together in his kitchen, he took to twitter to say: “Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there. Awful, but don’t go see them. Use facetime/Skype etc . We can all have a proper Mother’s Day when this is over. Happy Mother’s Day mum.”

Rylan couldn’t love her any more than he does - and reckons she is a mixture between two much-loved telly characters.
“My mum is my biggest f ** headache, but I don’t know what I’d do without her,” he said in the Sunday Times magazine.
“She’s got the best of both worlds with me. I’m a son and a daughter. I can talk to her about make-up and blow-dry her hair, and I can tell her to f*** off.
“She’s a liability. She’s the ultimate cross between the nan from Catherine Tate and Pam from Gavin & Stacey.

“Everything is a drama. Mum lives on her own and can’t do Sky, so she calls me every single day about it.”
He added: “Both of us are pretty non-bothered by any success I’ve had. I’ll be like, “Mum, I’m hosting Supermarket Sweep”,’ and she’ll say, “Oh, that’s good, isn’t it?” And that’s it.
“I need someone like that. She’d instantly sit on me if my feet left the floor.”
