Rylan appeared to make a thinly-veiled dig at his estranged husband Dan Neal on Friday evening as he hosted Strictly - It Takes Two.
The 33-year-old star announced back in June of this year that he and Dan had separated after almost six years of marriage.
As Rylan hosted the latest episode of the BBC2 Strictly spin-off show, he alluded to his past as he interviewed Dan Walker and Nadiya Bychkova.
Referring to their performance on Strictly last weekend, which saw them dressed as lobsters, Rylan said: "However, I mean I'm not friendly with many lobsters these days, you know my past is my past..."

The crew behind the scenes could be heard laughing at Rylan's comment as he continued: "But I didn't actually understand how loud lobsters are on the dance floor, have a little look at this..."
He then showed them a clip of the pair dancing their Jive to B-52's song Rock Lobster where Dan and Nadiya can be heard being very local and making some odd noises.

Rylan was seen cracking up and looked far from heartbroken as he hosted the BBC2 show.
His comment comes after he has "had enough bad vibes" and became a 'hermit' at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
But now, he wants to make the best of the newfound freedom by spending time with close friends and family.
"I’m a night in kind of guy, but I do need to start going out as I’m becoming a bit of a hermit," he explained.

"My favourite night out is good food, good wine, good company and good vibes. I’ve had enough bad vibes – I think it’s time for some good ones," Rylan added to OK!
During the time of his split from Dan, Rylan release a statement saying: "I have made a number of mistakes which I deeply regret and have inevitably led to the breakdown of our marriage.
"I have taken time away from work as I am not in a good place at the moment and am seeking help.”
He then took a few months off work and didn't post on any of his social media.
After his return, Rylan had to respond to claims that the BBC offered him a year off work after he had a 'breakdown'.
In response to the claims, the presenter took to his Instagram Stories to assure fans that he's doing okay.
"Couple of news stories today. Be assured, I'm good. I wasn't, but I am now x," he wrote against a black background.
Strictly - It Takes Two airs weekdays at 6:30pm on BBC2.
