Rylan Clark praised for 'beautifully done' BBC Radio 2 show in light of Queen's passing

Rylan Clark was praised for his 'beautifully done' BBC Radio 2 show in light of Queen Elizabeth II's death.

The presenter put on his radio show at 3pm on Saturday and listeners thanked him for the 'beautiful and moving' segment.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a snap from his seat inside the studio.

He wrote: "Thanks so much for listening today. A different show but loved every second. Thanks for being a part of it. @bbcradio2 x."

Fans of Rylan took to the comment section to compliment his radio presenting skills as well as the choice of music on the show.

"Rylan today was such a lovely show. Thank you and be proud," one user said.

Another added: "Thank you… so many fabulous tunes, beautiful and moving," while one fan posted: "Was a superb show today. Loved it. thank you x."

"Loved the show today - the music was fab and such lovely messages from the listeners. The balance was perfect," a happy fan wrote.

It comes after Rylan opened up about being so devastated by the collapse of his marriage that he broke down to a point that his mother feared he had suffered a stroke.

The 33-year-old reality star was married to ex-Big Brother contestant Dan Neal, 43, in 2015, but their relationship came to an abrupt end last year.

The breakdown of the marriage had a huge impact on the star - whose fans grew concerned when he pulled out of work commitments to deal with his personal life.

Rylan recently shared just how impacted he was by the split, explaining that he was so troubled he was unable to eat or even speak as he struggled with his grief.

He told the Happy Place podcast: “My body did completely shut down. I wouldn't eat. I went through a stage where I couldn't even talk, which for some people might be quite handy.

“My speech was just slurred. My mum thought I was having a stroke. My body just went. I went down to 9st and I am six-foot-four.”

Fans, family and friends were all worried for the star when he started pulling out of work events as he dealt with the end of his marriage.

He said: “Two days before I was due to do Eurovision, everyone knew when I wasn't at Eurovision something was wrong.”
