Rylan Clark-Neal to present new BBC fashion show You Are What You Wear

Move over Gok, Trinny and Susannah - Rylan Clark-Neal has landed a primetime fashion series.

His BBC1 show You Are What You Wear comes nearly two decades after Susannah Constantine and Trinny Woodall’s What Not to Wear and 15 years after Gok Wan’s How to Look Good Naked.

Rylan, 30, will give the fashion format a makeover, with his version set in a “department store of dreams” catering for every size and style.

Each show, from Multistory Media, will follow four customers as they get to grips with looks created from vintage, high street and designer items.

They will reveal their fashion dilemmas and open up about insecurities, in front of a giant changing room mirror.

The four are then helped by a squad of personal shoppers to try to create the style they’ve always wanted.

Former X Factor star Rylan said: “I’m thrilled to be fronting a new series and can’t wait to help people from all walks of life find their sense of style and be proud of what they see when they look in the mirror.”

Executive producer Ana de Moraes described the Essex-born presenter as “a joy at the heart of proceedings”.

Rylan is currently starring in Celebrity Gogglebox with his mum, Linda.
