Rylan Clark has bank account targeted by fraudsters

Strictly : It Takes Two presenter Rylan Clark has revealed fraudsters attempted to hack into his bank account.

The former X-Factor star shared the news on Twitter, and tried to maintain his usual positive spirit.

He penned to his 1.6 million followers: "Someone’s tried to get into my account ain’t they."

His tweet was accompanied by a meme from comedy flick Bridesmaids with the iconic phrase "Help me, i'm poor."

Fans inundated the TV personality with messages of support after his ordeal.

One user commented: "Me too. I had a scammer bank phone call. Good job there’s nothing in my account!"

Another remarked: "Sorry to hear that but had to mention that Bridesmaids is the best film ever!"

"What is wrong with people," a third user fumed.

Earlier this year, Rylan went through some personal struggles as he announced his split from his husband Dan Neal.

The much-loved presenter made a welcome return to his hosting duties in September following a break from work during the summer.

Fans were delighted when he made his big Radio 2 comeback and the star thanked listeners for their kindness and patience.

Elsewhere, Rylan has revealed on his BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday (30 October) his mum Linda has been diagnosed with skin cancer.

The BBC favourite confirmed it is not life-threatening.

He gave listeners some context after his mum said she had three stitches under her eye and would need another biopsy.

Rylan explained: "I should probably tell people what we're talking about.

Rylan and his mum Linda previously appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox together.
