Rylan Clark branded 'beefcake' as he shows Eurovision reality with topless snap and reveals 'fear'

Rylan Clark has been branded a 'beef cake' by a former Strictly Come Dancing star after he showed the effect Eurovision 2023 is having on him in a topless selfie. The BBC Radio 2 host has already spent a week in Liverpool ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest which takes place this week.

He had an interesting journey up north over the first May Bank Holiday weekend, where he will be among the presenters providing coverage of Eurovision for the BBC. But despite the chaotic start to his trip, Rylan has been getting stuck into life in the city and the buzz of the international song competition.

Over the weekend, the 34-year-old posted a selfie which showed her bare arms and chest as he covered his dark bearded face with his hand. "How's your Eurovision going," he captioned the post alongside a crying laughing emoji.

John Whaite, who made it the final of Strictly 2021 years after being crowned the winner of the Great British Bake Off, was among those to respond to the post, writing: "Beefcake," with a flame emoji.

It came before Rylan revealed his 'fear' ahead of the final of the Eurovision Song Contest this Saturday (May 13). The TV and radio star joined Lorraine Kelly live via video link on her self-titled ITV show, Lorraine, on Tuesday (May 9) following an appearance by the UK's entry Mae Muller.

Sharing his excitement ahead of this year’s contest he said to Lorraine: "Well I mean, you can tell by my jacket Lorraine that I’m very excited, Eurovision is my favourite time of the year babe. I love it, I've been so lucky to be a part of Eurovision for the last six years now.

"Every time this week comes around I would normally say, ‘I can’t wait to get on a plane’ however, we’re on home turf, so I've got to behave myself because people know who I am. We’ve already had one Coronation this week but this week we will get a new Coronation, right here at Eurovision! Will it be a King or a Queen, who knows?"

It is then when Rylan shared what was worrying him about the grand event - and it was his outfit. "For Saturday’s finale, I’m a little bit worried because I’m hosting the show and then coming into the commentary box through the crowd, but the shoes I’ve got are about ‘that high’, so if I die, what a place to go!"
