Rylan Clark applauded over three-word response to troll branding him 'council nobody'

Rylan Clark has won the support of his fans after he responded to a troll who branded him a 'council nobody'.

A disgruntled Twitter user targeted the TV star after being unhappy with his appearance in an advert.

Rylan, 33, has been featuring in an ad for car sales company, Cinch.

Unhappy with what he was seeing, @JD0244112 tweeted: "@cinchuk I will never buy a car from you whilst that complete buck tooth ignoramus @Rylan is advertising your company! Illiterate, talentless, council nobody!"

They then added: "@CazooUK please learn from this!"

But after seeing the cruel tweet, Rylan felt the need to respond in a very simple way.

"THEN WALK MATE," he shared alongside the tweet that had been aimed at him.

Rylan's response has since racked up more than 19,000 likes and received hundreds of supportive comments.

Among those responding was comedian and TV presenter Paddy McGuinness who quipped: "Clearly one of big Phil’s undercover agents from We Buy Any Car."

Author Phillipa Perry, who is married to artist Grayson Perry, also responded: "I didn’t even need a new car but I bought one from @cinchuk to feel closer to Rylan. Great car and a fabulously relaxed and entertaining tv presenter."

Cinch also got in the action, throwing their support behind their commercial star, writing: "New Year’s Resolution: Be even more Rylan."

The Strictly's It Takes Two and BBC Radio 2 presenter also had the support of his fans for his response.

"Well said Rylan We love you @Rylan," @Television_Live replied.

"Go on @Rylan nothing wrong with being ‘council’! The best of us are," @BridgesWard1 commented.

@dolly_dimple85 replied: "And that’s how you handle keyboard warriors! Go @Rylan."

"One of the best things to happen to tv and radio in a loooong time. More talent and personality in his finger nail than most. Bloody adore @Rylan," @BlondShelley added.
