Ryanair to fly to 24 new holiday destinations this summer - full list of routes

Ryanair has announced it will fly to 24 new holiday destinations from the UK this summer.

The low-cost airline have 24 new routes including Bucharest, Marseille and Kosice.

Of these new routes 11 were winter destinations that have been extended into the summer.

They make up more than 500 routes to and from the UK the carrier has as part of its summer 2020 schedule.

* Edinburgh to Bucharest

* Edinburgh to Bydgoszcz

* Exeter to Alicante

* Manchester to Pisa

* Manchester to Kerry

* Manchester to Paris Beauvais

* Manchester to Copenhagen

* Manchester to Rodez

* Manchester to Katowice

* Manchester to Milan Malpensa

* Manchester to Prague 

* London Southend to Bergerac

* London Southend to Marseille

* London Southend to Girona

* London Southend to Bucharest

* London Southend to Vilnius

* London Stansted to Essaouira

* London Stansted to Dresden

* London Stansted to Cluj

* London Stansted to Kosice

* London Stansted to Terceira

* Luton to Krakow

* Luton to Seville

The airline which resumed international flights on July 1 is also cutting fares by 15% on 500,000 seats, for travel in August and September.

The carrier is restoring almost 90% of its route network but frequencies will be lower than normal, with just 40% of its normal July capacity.

Passengers will have to wear face masks or face coverings as part of enhanced safety and hygiene measures.

Ryanair Group’s chief executive Michael O’Leary said: “We expect in July to carry more than 4.5 million customers, many of them families taking well earned Mediterranean holidays after the severe challenges of the Covid-19 lockdown, home schooling, etc.

“These 1,000 daily flights mark an important turning point for Ryanair and for the tourism industry of Europe, which supports so many jobs and small businesses.”

Last week the government released a list of 73 countries holidaymakers from England can visit with no mandatory quarantine upon their return - including Spain, Italy, France and Malta.
