Ryanair stewardess in critical condition after being hit by car on return from work in Dublin

A Ryanair stewardess remains in a 'critical condition' after being hit by a car.

Emergency services rushed to Hale Road, Liverpool at around 11.45pm on Monday, August 22, after reports of a crash. At the scene, at the junction with John Lennon Airport, they found a pedestrian, in her 30s, had been hit by a Ford Focus.

Cinzia Ceravolo, 36, who is from the south Liverpool area, was taken to hospital with head injuries and remains in a critical condition. Italian national Cinzia, who works as cabin crew with Ryanair, has lived in the UK for the past five years.

She had been returning from two days away with work and had arrived into Liverpool airport on Ryanair flight FR448 from Dublin at 11.20pm. Merseyside Police is continuing to appeal for information.

Detective Sergeant Paul Evans, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. We are keen to speak to a pedestrian who was walking along the pavement close to where the collision took place.

"We would also like to speak to the driver of a white hatchback vehicle that passes the location following the collision, heading in the direction of Dunlop Road. Anyone who believes they witnessed anything or have dash cam footage and hasn’t already come forward is asked to get in touch as a matter of urgency."
