Ryanair's sassy response to customer's hack to avoid paying for baggage

The staff behind Ryanair's Twitter account have become known for their cheeky responses to customers and their latest reply is no different.

Journalist Bobbi Hadgraft took to Twitter to share a potential travel 'hack' to get round paying for any of the extra luggage charges. Ryanair, like other budget airlines, permits one small carry on bag on each flight with extra bags costing up to £59.99.

Many travellers try their best to avoid paying for the extra baggage by wearing extra clothing or packing as many items as possible into one carry on bag, the Daily Star reports. Sharing a picture of a pair of black cargo trousers covered with tiny pockets plastered all over the front, Bobbi said: "Wearing these trousers next time I travel."

After tagging Ryanair's official Twitter account in the post, the budget airline was quick to come back with a sassy response. The airline included a screenshot of the designer trousers from MJB (Marc Jacques Burton) listed for a whopping £1,280 on the website.

Ryanair jibed: "'£1,280?' Just pay for a bag, Bobbi."

Although, Bobbi felt the purchase of the trousers would make a good "investment". She said: "Currently have 15 flights booked on the app. This would be an investment." Left in stitches at the savage exchange, many people fled to the comments to have their say.

One person chuckled: "It's an investment." Another user sneered: "Cheaper than paying all of your hidden fees to be fair."

While a third mocked: "Get to the airport 5 months early to get through security by the time they've searched your pockets and all."

Someone else giggled: "Hope I'm not behind you in security when they ask you to empty all your pockets."
