Ryanair's latest sale has flights from £8.99 including Christmas market bargains

Ryanair is giving Brits the opportunity to snap up some temptingly cheap flights to Europe in its new autumn sale.

The budget carrier has slashed prices on one million seats by 25 per cent in the deals bonanza and there are bargains to be had with fares from £8.99 each way.

There's quite a generous window of travel dates included, with deals valid on flights between November and May.

The offers can be ideal if you're thinking of exploring Europe's best Christmas markets in the lead-up to the big day, as there are some tempting bargains on heaps of the biggest hotspots.

For example, you can find flights to Berlin from £12.99, Riga from £12.99, Hamburg from £14.99, or even Cologne from £18.99 - all from London Stansted.

There are also fares to Warsaw from £12.99 if you fly from Manchester, or Stockholm from £25.99 from Edinburgh.

Of course if the Christmas markets aren't appealing, there's ample opportunity to snap up cheap flights for some winter sun destinations, or breaks in 2019 including February half term.

All of the deals are already live on the Ryanair website here but you'll need to book by midnight on Sunday 13th October when the sale ends. It's worth noting that the fares are subject to availability too.

The cheap fares won't include baggage fees, so you'll need to pay extra if you plan on bringing a second bag with you.

The airline's hand luggage policy allows non priority passengers to bring one free small personal bag which can't be bigger than 40cm x 20cm x 25cm. (Aka a handbag, laptop bag or small backpack).

However if you pay for priority boarding, you can bring a free small personal bag AND a cabin bag (the latter must not weigh more than 10kg and it must fit in the overhead locker).

The airline also offers a 10kg check-in bag option which you can find out more about on the Ryanair website .
