Ryanair's Black Friday 2020 offer promises customers the chance to 'fly for free'

With Ireland remaining on the 'Orange list' in terms of international travel for another few weeks, the last month has seen a number of encouraging signs in the aviation sector.

As always, given the ever-changing world of COVID-related restrictions and infection levels, it's best to follow the advice that's issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs when it comes to travel, but for those with a strong case of wanderlust, Ryanair's Black Friday offer will definitely be of interest.

The airline has launched a ‘Buy One Get One Free’ offer on 1,700 routes across its network, for travel from December 1, 2020, until March 27 2021.

Essentially, one person can fly absolutely free when a ticket is bought.

Ryanair’s Black Friday deal goes live at 3pm on November 26 and it's in place until midnight tomorrow (27th November).

Speaking about the latest promotion, Ryanair’s Director of Marketing, Dara Brady said: “We’re launching this not-to-be-missed Black Friday offer with more routes available than any previous Ryanair ‘Buy One Get One Free’ offer, just in time for Christmas travel planning.

"Book from 3pm today for travel from 1st December 2020 until 27th March 2021 across 1,700 routes and get a second ticket on the same flight for free."

The sale is just one of the recent measures that Ryanair has made to encourage safe and worry-free travel.

In recent weeks, the airline has launched various initiatives to make things easier for those that are travelling on Ryanair flights.

They recently announced that they will extend the waiving of their flight change fee for all customers who book flights in December 2020 and January 2021.

In a statement, the airline said that this will ensure "greater flexibility should travel plans change, allowing passengers to move their flight with no change fee up to 30th September 2021."
