Ryanair passenger ranted 'I'll kill you all' and tried to 'open plane door'

Terrifying footage captured the moment Ryanair passengers took down a man threatening to kill everyone on board after allegedly trying to open a plane door.

Holidaymakers on the flight from Manchester to Gran Canaria held the man down after he launched the terrifying tirade threatening "I will kill every single one of you'."

At one point he also threatens to burn their houses down before crew members and other passengers restrain him, according to the Manchester Evening News .

The man, who was detained by Spanish police, has now been banned from flying with Ryanair indefinitely.

Jodie Fisher, 27, from Manchester, had been travelling with her younger sister Jeorgia, 20, to a festival when she claimed the man started abusing crew members.

Speaking from her hotel in Gran Canaria, Jodie said: "I could hear this guy at the front of the plane shouting and screaming things at other passengers.

"He came to the front of the plane and started throwing cups all over the floor of the plane."

She said there were two female and one male flight attendants at the scene but struggled to understand the man as she assumed they were all Spanish.

Jodie and Jeorgia joined forces to help getting the man to sit back in his seat but claimed the man became out of control.

"He was trying to open the door of the plane and you're sat there thinking, is he actually going to do it," Jodie said.

The man was said to have been detained by Spanish police soon as the plane landed in Gran Canaria.

A spokesperson for Ryanair said: "The crew of this flight from Manchester to Gran Canaria on May 4 requested police assistance upon landing after a passenger became disruptive mid-flight.

"The safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority.

"This passenger has been banned from flying with Ryanair again and this is now a matter for local police."
