Ryanair issue witty comeback to customer’s extra large luggage charge hack

Ryanair hit back with a witty response after one customer posted a ‘hack’ for getting your luggage onboard without paying extra

The airline is no stranger to a cheeky comeback, often getting attention on Twitter for their comments. This time was no different, as they posted a sassy dig.

One unsuspecting customer suggested getting out of paying extra fees by sharing a picture of a pair of cargo trousers covered in pockets.

If customers want to bring anything other than a small bag onto their flight, they'll have to pay anything between £6 and £59.99 depending on the size.

The Star reports that alongside the picture, she wrote: "Wearing these trousers next time I travel," while tagging Ryanair's official Twitter account.

And it wasn't long before the airline hit back with a savage response of its own. The airline included a screenshot of the designer trousers from MJB (Marc Jacques Burton) that were listed for a whopping £1,280 on the website.

Ryanair jibed: "'£1,280?' Just pay for a bag, Bobbi."

However, Bobbi felt the purchase of the trousers would make a good "investment". She said: "Currently have 15 flights booked on the app. This would be an investment."

Finding the savage exchange hilarious, many people flocked to the comments to give their take. One person joked: "It's an investment."

Another user sneered: "Cheaper than paying all of your hidden fees to be fair."

While a third said: "Get to the airport five months early to get through security by the time they've searched your pockets and all." Someone else commented: "Hope I'm not behind you in security when they ask you to empty all your pockets."
