Ryanair flight from Liverpool to Dublin delayed and it's all Tiger Roll's fault

Tiger Roll made history at Aintree on Saturday afternoon as he won a thrilling 2019 Grand National to become the first horse since Red Rum to win the race back-to-back.

The nine-year-old, ridden by Davy Russell, saw off competition from Magic of Light to send the 70,000-strong Aintree Racecourse into raptures with the horse heavily backed.

The horse is owned by Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary, and it appears the Grand National winning party is set to continue on their flight back to Dublin.

Speaking on ITV Racing former Grand National winner AP McCoy asked O'Leary about his plans for the evening.

He asked: "I know you don't like these Ryanair flights being late but apparently the one last year was late. Any chance it might be late this year?'

"There will be a free bar on the 7.30 going from Liverpool to Dublin on this evening again!," O'Leary explained.

The 19.25 from John Lennon Airport has been delayed until 20.45 with O'Leary clearly living up to his promise with free drinks on board expected for all passengers.

Last year was a similar story with the 43-minute flight seeing a free bar with O'Leary, winning jockey Davy Russell and a host of happy racegoers.
