Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary gives passengers free drinks on flight from Liverpool to Dublin Airport after Grand National win

A joyous Michael O'Leary gave passengers on a Ryanair flight free drinks as he celebrated Tiger Roll's Grand National win.

The horse took home the big prize at Aintree on Saturday, and the Ryanair CEO promised passengers on the flight from Liverpool to Dublin Airport a free bar.

The party went on long into the night as Tiger Roll became the first horse since Red Rum to win back-to-back Grand Nationals, Dublin Live reports.

Speaking on ITV Racing former winner AP McCoy asked O'Leary about his plans for the evening.

He asked: "I know you don't like these Ryanair flights being late but apparently the one last year was late. Any chance it might be late this year?'

"There will be a free bar on the 7.30 going from Liverpool to Dublin on this evening again!," O'Leary explained.

The 19.25 from John Lennon Airport was delayed until 20.45 with O'Leary clearly living up to his promise with free drinks on board expected for all passengers.

Last year was a similar story with the 43-minute flight seeing a free bar with O'Leary, winning jockey Davy Russell and a host of happy racegoers.
