No-frills airline Ryanair has announced its summer 2022 schedule - with 24 new routes included and fares from £29.99.
The carrier is also staging a seat sale with offers available until November 25 amid the confirmation of new routes to Zadar in Croatia, from Birmingham, Bournemouth, Liverpool and Newcastle; and the Portuguese island of Madeira from Stansted and Manchester airports.
Others are Bournemouth-Bergerac, Liverpool-Brussels Charleroi, Stansted-Menorca, Manchester-Vienna and Newcastle-Chania.
Airline bosses claim the new routes reinforce its commitment to the UK and the rebuilding of the country’s tourism industry, playing a key role in the recovery of local jobs and economy.
It promises accelerated growth in both traffic and jobs during the next five years through the addition of 65 new B737-8200 ‘Gamechanger’ aircraft to its fleet, which offer four per cent more seats, use 16 per cent less fuel and a 40 per cent reduction in noise emissions.
Ryanair’s director of commercial Jason McGuinness said: “We are pleased to announce our UK Summer 22 schedule offering our customers even more amazing European destinations.
"Following two summers of on and off again travel restrictions, our UK customers now have 24 new routes to choose from when booking their long-awaited holidays.
"Whether planning a relaxing family getaway to the picturesque surroundings of Chania, an adventurous trip to the mountain hike trails of Madeira or a romantic city break to Milan, our schedule will not disappoint.
"With air fares set to increase due to reduced capacity, we are encouraging our customers to book early and avail of these lower fares available only on Ryanair.com.”
Meanwhile, Ryanair has announced it will open a base at Madeira Airport with two aircraft based at Funchal operating 10 new routes amid a multi-million pounds investment.
