Ryanair announces more flights from Liverpool after 'strong demand'

Ryanair announced today it will add more flights from Liverpool Airport.

They said this is in light of strong demand from both British and Lithuanian consumers.

Ryanair will now fly three times weekly from Liverpool to Vilnius from the October 25 as part of its Winter 2020 schedule.

British customers can now book a winter getaway to Vilnius as far out as March 2021, flying on the lowest fares and with a new set of health measures that Ryanair has rolled out to protect its customers and crew.

Lithuania has been assessed by the Government as no longer presenting an unacceptably high risk to British people travelling abroad.

However, the UK is currently facing an increase in coronavirus cases.

In total, 184 of the 315 local authority areas in England recorded an increase in the weekly rate of new Covid-19 cases in the seven days to September 12.

The rate fell in 123 areas and was unchanged in eight areas.

New cases were recorded in all but one of the 315 local authority areas, the exception being Babergh.

Liverpool's coronavirus infection rate also continues to rise, with a number of new hotspots identified across the city.

Ryanair’s Director of Commercial Jason McGuinness said: "Ryanair is pleased to announce it will now fly even more often from Liverpool to Vilnius commencing from the 25 th October 2020.
